About the Business Our client is a growing multidisciplinary provider based in Newcastle, supporting people across psychology, occupational therapy, behaviour support, speech pathology, dietetics, counselling and assessments. Their approach is warm, person-centred and practical, with a strong focus on helping clients build independence, confidence, emotional wellbeing and daily living skills. With an increasing number of OT referrals, particularly across paediatrics and neurodivergent presentations, they are now open to welcoming another Occupational Therapist into the team this year. This is a lovely opportunity for an Occupational Therapist who enjoys flexibility, variety and the ability to shape a caseload around their strengths. Benefits • Up to $120,000 super • Part-time options available • No strict KPI structure • Opportunity to focus strongly on paediatrics • Potential to build a role around your clinical interests • Clinic and community-based work • 1–2 days per week in clinic • Sensory room • Multidisciplinary team environment • Supportive, flexible and realistic expectations About the Role This role would suit an Occupational Therapist who is paediatric inclined and enjoys working with neurodivergent clients, children and young adults. The current referral base includes a strong paediatric demand, alongside young adults and more complex presentations. The expected caseload would be approximately one-third children and two-thirds young adults, although there is scope to tailor this depending on the right clinician’s experience and preferences. There is also the option to work with more complex adult, psychosocial and forensic-style caseloads if that is of interest, but this is not essential. For the right OT, the provider is open to shaping the role around their strengths — whether that is paediatrics, neurodivergence, young adults or a broader mixed caseload. You will work across both clinic and community settings, spending around 1–2 days per week face-to-face in the clinic, with the rest of the week out on the road supporting clients in their natural environments. Support Available You will be joining a multidisciplinary team with services across psychology, occupational therapy, behaviour support, speech pathology, dietetics and counselling. The business is realistic in its expectations and does not operate with a heavy KPI-driven culture. Team Culture This is a growing, flexible and client-focused team that is open to bringing in the right person rather than forcing someone into a rigid role. They are open to growing their Occupational Therapy team and are especially interested in someone who enjoys paediatrics, neurodivergent presentations and working with young people. The clinic includes a sensory room, creating a great space for paediatric and neurodivergent clients. With a mix of clinic and community work, this role offers variety, autonomy and the chance to make the role your own. Interested?
